Falmouth and the River Fal, 24th - 30th May 2010

The finest fish & chips in town...

...and 2 bottles of Chalky's Bark...

Hitching a ride in Port Pendennis.

Feeding time...

You don't often see such a fine pair of bulbous bows this far up the river - nor Jodie Kidd, although Andy didn't notice...

Curious...

Smugglers' Cottage (now a pub), an embarkation point for the D-Day landings.

Visitors' pontoon - very peaceful...

Bye bye Falmouth...

The black thing out of focus in the foreground is a Suzuki, the one in the background is a basking shark, honest, spotted as we approached the River Yealm.

And so we have started making our way East, via some of our favourite places, including Fowey, Cawsand Bay, Plymouth (to sort a few problems), the River Yealm, Salcombe and now Dartmouth, where we will spend a few days enjoying the river and planning our passage across Lyme Bay to Portland.
