Happy New Year 2017

(Pretty Flamingos and other animals - 1st January 2017)

On the lagoons north of Lefkas Town - a long way away, but they are flamingos - honest!

Sing along if you know the words...

Seems barely believable that it's over four months since our last update - one minute we were in Greece in September and the next it was Christmas and now the New Year! I notice I did in fact start writing this update in late November... In September Ann was busy working at the Southampton Boat Show, and almost immediately after that we went to Greece, partly holiday, partly to prepare Pipit for sale. We had a lovely time meeting up with friends old and new and visiting our favourite places in the Ionian.

Since returning from Greece Ann has been particulary busy with CA work, requiring a number of visits to London, and I've been equally busy, but we've still had time to get out and about enjoying ourselves, so here is a quick pictorial summary:

Alfie and his friends on their morning constitutional into town...

HRH's flock.

Don't know who owns these.

Neigh...

HRH's herd.

Our nearer neigbours...

Lovely walk alongside the River Coln.

Fairford.

Autumn colours on the Kennet & Avon Canal - a pair of kingfishers had just flown by...

Dundas Aquaduct - Mr Rennie's masterpiece.

And passing underneath, as well as the River Avon, Mr Brunel's masterpiece.

So now it's 2017, we already have a busy schedule for the coming weeks - London Boat Show, re-uniting the stored aft cabin door & cushions with Pipit, a trip to Greece and more besides, as well as making plans for post Pipit... Happy New Year to all our readers!
